WINE-LESS WINELANDS: TASTES OF THE CAPE – FULL DAY

We drive to the Helderberg region to visit Morgenster, famed for their award winning olive oils. Sample their extra virgin, lemon infused and white truffle oils alongside their Queen and Kalamata olives as well as olive pastes. Few can withstand the temptation to take some home!
Our next visit is Spier. Get up close and personal with a cheetah or learn all about birds of prey at Eagle Encounters. Passing through the historic town of Stellenbosch we head for Franschhoek, in the valley of the Huguenots, where we enjoy a charcuterie tasting and lunch at Bread & Wine restaurant.
Huguenot Chocolates produce fine Belgian style chocolates. Here we gain an insight into the history and process of chocolate making and enjoy a tasting during the various stages.
The final taste sensation of the day is at Fairview where we sample a wide variety of dairy and goats milk cheeses to round off the day.
