Stay in luxury lodges and camps on this ultimate Zimbabwe safari to Lake Kariba, the Bumi Hills and Victoria Falls.
Explore Lake Kariba, one of the world’s largest man-made lakes, where wildlife wanders the shores, and bream and tiger fish live in the depths. Sit quietly in a hide and observe the animals coming down to drink at a watering hole in the midst of the African bush. This is one of the best ways to get exceptionally close to animals.
Be adventurous! Why not book an exciting adventure around the Victoria Falls — walk with lions, hop on the back of an elephant or get your adrenaline pumping by bungee jumping or white water rafting — the choices are endless!
10 DAYS / 9 NIGHTS
Perfect for adventure enthusiasts, safari lovers, honeymooners and birdwatchers, this is the ultimate luxury safari in Zimbabwe. Experiences include all the famed highlights of a classic Zimbabwe safari.
DAY 1 & 2: LAKE KARIBA
On your arrival at Victoria Falls International Airport you will be met by an andBeyond representative who will assist you with your light aircraft transfer to Lake Kariba. Then a boat transfer to Changa Safari Camp.
Situated on the southern shores of Lake Kariba, Matusadona National Park is a place of remarkable beauty, where scenic landscapes range from flat plains to rugged mountains. One of several protected wildlife areas on the shores of the Lake, Matusadona is bounded on the west by the Ume River and on the east by the Sanyati River. Remote and isolated, the park receives fewer tourist numbers and provides an exclusive game viewing experience. It is particularly well known for its large herds of buffalo, some of which number over a thousand individuals, which congregate along the shoreline in the dry season. Other frequently encountered wildlife includes elephant and hippo, as well as waterbuck, sable and roan antelope. The reserve is also rich in birdlife, with many species of herons, storks, plovers, bee-eaters and geese, as well as the ubiquitous fish eagle, inhabiting the river banks.
Spend two nights at Changa Safari Camp in a deluxe tent with ensuite bathroom. Your stay includes all meals, local drinks, house wines, up to three activities per day, teas/coffee and laundry.
Adventures include game drives, walking and fishing safaris, birdwatching and boating.
DAY 3, 4 & 5: LAKE KARIBA
After a mouth watering breakfast you will be transferred by boat to Bumi Hills.
Stretching over 300 kilometres in length and covering an area of 5 000 square kilometres, the man-made Lake Kariba, filled between 1958 and 1963, is a veritable inland sea located on the mighty Zambezi River. Flanked on all sides by pristine nature reserves, this exceptional water mass is a testament to human ingenuity and not only contributes to the people of Zimbabwe and Zambia but also to a flourishing diversity of game, fish and birdlife. Many a memorable moment can be shared on the lake from fishing for the powerful tiger fish off a houseboat, as the sun displays its final colours before melting into the horizon, to game viewing by boat or on an interpretive guided walking safari. Not-to-be missed is the annual tiger fishing competition held in September.
Relax for three nights at Bumi Hills Safari Lodge. Accommodation is in a premium room with a lovely ensuite bathroom. Your stay includes all meals, teas, coffees, standard beverages, laundry, WI-FI and up to three scheduled activities per day.

It was proclaimed a national park in 1929. Here guests can explore a variety of landscapes, from desert sands and sparse woodland to grasslands and rocky outcrops. Vast herds of elephant and buffalo, gemsbok and packs of brown hyena can be found in this pristine slice of wilderness, as can one of the largest surviving populations of wild dog.
