We hope you enjoy this week’s selection of highlights…
Leopard sightings have been incredible as always with sightings of Maxabeni, Kashane, Hlarulini, Little Bush and White Dam!
Maxabeni continues to dominate with tireless patrols of his territory, as well as successful kills ensuring he remains in prime condition.
The Kashane male leopard was seen towards the end of the week and was on the lookout for a potential meal.
The Hlarulini female was found with both an impala and a Grey Duiker kill, however she showed her frustration when a Vervet Monkey alarm called, giving away her presence.
We had a great sighting of Little Bush’s cub as she tried to stalk a steenbok but failed and decided to rest on a termite mound.
Christmas saw us witness a kudu being born and Franscois and his guests were lucky enough to witness the little one taking its first steps. Such a special sighting!
We had some really hot days before Christmas where after we have enjoyed some cooler weather, allowing for a mixed bag of sightings from all sorts!
On the lion front, the Charleston males have once again been moving around quite a bit but upon returning to the Southern Pride and their cubs, some tender moments were shared between all!
We end the week on a high with the first glimpse of the newest members of the Southern Pride… And in addition to these 3 cubs, we suspect another female has given birth to two cubs. This is, however, unconfirmed at this stage.
Wishing you all a Prosperous 2017!
