Linyanti Tented Camp in the Linyanti Wildlife Reserve
Your own wildlife wonderland at Linyanti Tented Camp
Linyanti Tented Camp, booked solely for families and small groups, is the ideal location for those wishing to experience the wildlife-rich Linyanti Concession in privacy. Unrivalled in its remoteness and sense of space, the camp overlooks the iconic marsh and floodplain with its four large, airy and en-suite tents designed to recreate the style of the early explorers. Built on a slightly raised deck with impressive views, the main area of camp is the perfect place from which to watch the passing parade of wildlife and for convivial relaxation. Evenings are spent around the crackling fire under the stars or in the traditional boma.
The camp can only be booked on a sole-use basis and for a minimum of two nights.

Given its location on the Linyanti Marsh and easy access to a combination of habitats, floodplains, open dry-land savannah and woodland, the area is a magnet for big game and birdlife. Well-known for its huge elephant concentrations as they congregate along the waterways during the dry winter months, the area is also renowned for general wildlife including specials such as roan and sable. Predator sightings may include lion, leopard, wild dog and spotted.
Morning and afternoon game drives are offered in open 4×4 vehicle accommodates a maximum of eight people as well as the guide. The predators and elephant are often the highlight with roan and sable as some of ‘specials’ found here.
Night drives with spotlights allow you to find those nocturnal animals you wouldn’t see during the day.
Depending on qualified guide availability, nature walks with a skilled, armed guide is a wonderful way of getting close to nature and observing the smaller things you miss when travelling by vehicle.
Birding is outstanding at Linyanti Tented Camp, from Okavango specials such as slaty egret and Hartlaub’s babbler to mopane woodland species: Bradfield’s hornbill and Bennett’s woodpecker. The area is also famous for its high concentration of prey species and waterbirds and is internationally recognised as an IBA (Important Bird Area).
