Luxury in Nature
The Lodge is a small eight suite private safari lodge built in empathy with nature. The tasteful minimalist designed accommodation, each with its own private heated plunge pool and outside shower, all on a large private deck, where only giraffe, elephants or even a lion can have a view of you. Since the lodge opened to guest, it has received the prestigious 5 Star rating from South African Tourism. Etali is operated and run by the owners.
Etali Safari Lodge offers game drives with highly skilled Rangers (Field Guides) to enhance your experience and knowledge of the bush. Walking in “Big 5” territories, birding and specialised photographic safaris are on offer. Needless to say experienced qualified armed rangers conduct walking safaris.

The Wellness Spa with professionaly trained therapists, offers treatment to your choosing, steam room and the open air gym contributes to getting the city race out of your system and maximise the opportunity to embrace nature.

The cuisine at Etali Safari Lodge is remembered by all who experienced it.
The menus are prepared to each guests liking and taste. Discuss your requirements with our Chefs. A mixture of African and fine dining is on offer.
Special dietary requirements such as Kosher, Halal, Gluten Intolerant, Vegetarian and other meals are available by arrangement.
Weddings, Honeymoon and Business Events
Etali hosts functions such as weddings and corporate events. Due to the size of the lodge, these functions typically occupy the full lodge and only open to guests of these events.
Wedding ceremonies could be arranged within the reserve in the bush, with nature as witness. Etali is also a popular honeymoon location with luxury, spa, cuisine and privacy.
Game viewing in Madikwe remains a core part of the Etali experience. Guests are offered multiple contact points with the natural surroundings including twice daily game drives, optional game walks and, our personal favourite, armchair safaris from our main deck and rooms overlooking the Etali waterhole and surrounding areas.
The presence of the waterhole makes Etali a centre of activity with leopards, elephants, rhinos, lions, buffalo and many other stopping by frequently. It really is the perfect spot for an armchair safari!
