Morukuru Safari Lodge is located in the heart of the richly diverse and Malaria Free 75 000 – hectare Madikwe Game Reserve, located in the North West Province of South Africa. Close to the South Africa-Botswana border.
Access
Federal Air operates a daily flight from Johannesburg International Airport to Madikwe Airstrip, departing at 11H15 and returning at 12H30. Private air charters fly directly to Madikwe airstrip, 25 minutes from the lodge. Morukuru Safari Lodge is easily accessible by two-wheel drive vehicle on good roads. The driving time from Johannesburg is 3.5 hours on good roads. Chauffeured transfers are also available.

The three bed rooms in this luxury bush villa, all with en-suite bathrooms connect into the central living area under one continuous roof. The lodge offers the perfect setting for guests to enjoy alfresco dining on the wooden decks shaded by the impressive Tamboti trees overlooking the pool area and the riverbed beyond that, where animals converge to escape the heat of the day and quench their thirst.
In the evening enjoy traditional African dinners around an open fire in a secluded “boma” under the stars. Morukuru Lodge is available for the exclusive use by 6 adults, 4 children and is perfect for families, friends and small groups.

Exceptional game viewing experiences are part of the magic of Madikwe, with your own private game ranger and game viewing 4×4 vehicle, Morukuru offers you the flexibility of game drives or walks scheduled to your meet your timing preferences, through early morning and evening game drives are best for game viewing.
Between game drives you and your guests or family can recline at the rim flow pool, sip an ice-cold drink and take in the scenery that surrounds the lodge. Take a siesta or just unwind and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the bush .As Morukuru is situated on private property in the park visits to our hide and Lookout (ready end 2006) are a must.
