Ultimate Botswana Safari

This safari starts and ends in Johannesburg. Upon arrival at OR Tambo International Airport you will be welcomed by Mark and Celeste and taken to the OR Tambo City Lodge for a peacefull nights rest which is within walking distance.

The Adventure now begins with a 10:00am flight to Maun where you will be met and then transferred by light aircraft to your lodge of choice in the Linyanti Wildlife Reserve. We highly recommend Kings Pool Camp, DumaTau Camp, Savuti Camp, Kwando Lagoon Camp and Kwando Lebala Camp. You can see more choices Here. We highly recommend spending 3 nights in the Linyanti. An alternate choice to the Linyanti is the Selinda Reserve which will give you the same experience and the camps to look at are Selinda Camp and Zarafa Camp.

Now onto what is rightly called “The Jewel of the Kalahari” – The Okavango Delta. The Okavango is without doubt the finest game viewing destination in Africa and we recommend spending at least 5 nights at 2 different camps allowing you the have the water experience and the finest land experience. For 2 nights water experience we recommend Xigera Camp and then for 3 nights land experience we highly recommend Mombo Camp, Chiefs Camp, Sandibe Safari Lodge, Nxabega Tented Camp and Vumbura Plains Camp to name a few.

Now for the end of the safari we head up to the Chobe National Park. What is so amazing about the Chobe is the Chobe River and the thousands upon thousands of Elephants that come down to drink every day. After the Linyanti and the Okavango you will have seen all the animals of your game drives so we highly recommend staying on a houseboat which will give you a totally different experience to add to your experience in Africa. The houseboat we recommend is one of the Chobe Princesses.

Add Ons:

For those wishing to see different species of animals such as the Suricate and Kalahari Lion then add in the Kalahari and stay at the Kalahari Plains Camp to name one. We recommend adding this at the beginning of your safari.

Victoria Falls. If you have the time then definitely add in Victoria Falls at the end as it is literally an hour and a half drive from where you will be in Chobe. Have a look at Hotels and Activities in Victoria Falls.
